Hamilton Beach Food Chopper Review

The Hamilton Beach Food Chopper is a small, compact kitchen gadget that you can find easily at places like Walmart and Target. It is certainly a space saver in the kitchen and offers a simple, clean design. The chopper is also great at getting the job done fast and without any hassle or cut fingers.

With the Hamilton Beach Food Chopper, you will find that the base of the unit holds the motor and offers easy access to a pulse button. A detachable bowl is situated on the base, where the cutting blade fits into the center that is later shielded with a plastic cover.

When it comes to the assembly there are a couple of tricky things to note. When reading the directions, it clearly states that the blade is extremely sharp. If you are not careful during assembly, you will surely slice your finger without warning, which did take place during the testing of this product. It is a definite must to keep this piece of equipment away from small children. Once the blade has been positioned into the bowl, it is time to add ingredients.

Once this is complete, fasten the cover, which twists to lock into place at the base. If the cover isn't nestled properly, the chopper will not work. The chopping itself is quick. Removing the ingredients out of the chopper using a spoon was a bit of a chore because of the central piece making it harder to maneuver. Items with more of a liquid consistency are easier to transfer after processing. The chopper is suited for chopping nuts, mincing parsley, chopping carrots, and making breadcrumbs. Just remember that the bowl possesses a capacity of three cups. Liquid ingredients have a limit of 1¾ cup. It would be very convenient for making cole slaw and other salads that call for finely diced vegetables.

Overall, the Hamilton Beach Food Chopper gets the job done and is easy to clean once food has been removed out of the bowl. The typical price for this convenient piece of kitchen equipment is around $15.
