Cinnamon Spiced Hot Mocha

Instead of spending $4 a pop on a fancy coffee drink, make your own - it will be healthier and cheaper too!

Cinnamon Spiced Hot Mocha

Ingredients:

1 cup organic milk
1 teaspoon instant coffee
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cinnamon stick

Instructions:

Pour the milk into a saucepan and place over medium heat. Add the coffee and cocoa. Stir in the sugar and salt. Continue stirring as the mixture heats up to help dissolve the cocoa.

When the cocoa is dissolved add the vanilla extract. Stir to incorporate all the flavors together. Remove from the heat and pour into a mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Orange Laced Apple Cider

Orange Laced Apple Cider

Ingredients:

6 cups apple cider
3 whole allspice berries
3 whole cloves
3 cinnamon sticks
1 navel orange, peeled and quartered
1 navel orange, unpeeled, sliced

Instructions:

Place the cider in a saucepan over medium heat.  Add the berries, cloves and cinnamon sticks.  Stir to combine the ingredients.

Add the quartered orange.  Bring the mixture to a quick boil.

Once boiling reduce the heat to low.  Cook 7 minutes.

Pour the cider through a strainer being sure the berries, cloves, cinnamon sticks and oranges are removed.

Pour the cider into mugs and garnish with orange slices.

Goodnight Blueberry Fruit Shake

What You Need:

2 C plain yogurt
2 C blueberries

How to Make It:

Place the yogurt in the blender.
Add the blueberries to the yogurt in the blender.
Blend until a shake consistency.

2 Servings

This makes a perfect before bed snack.
